Need For New Thinking
Widowhood and The Society : Need For New Thinking is a Satirical Exposition about some of the mundane, inhuman and uncivil practices meted to the Wife ( and in some cases to the husband) after the demise of a spouse. All of these are done in the name of age-long culture, tradition and indigenous belief. The literature is the product of years of hands-on experience of a practioner and convener of an Interventionist and Non-governmental Organisation….Â

After years of handling several distraught cases, targeted, general counseling and rehabilitation of these vulnerables, decided to document their experiences and recommendations on how to give or treat wives (and/or husbands) of a deceased with love, care and civility in sub Saharan Africa and elsewhere!
 The work is written in simple language and domesticated innuendos for the delight and literary engagement of even an alien reader. If the suggestions in the Work are adapted and adopted in many African societies, no gain saying widowhood shall no longer be a fearful and regrettable experience, rather, a phase in marital relationship couples must face as mortals. It’s highly recommended to researchers, academics, community leaders, traditional rulers, churches, legal practitioners, community based organizations, Non- governmental organisations as well as governmental organisations, family and social ministries and all who thirst for peace and a just society.
